"Solid North," Leads 2025 Midterm Party-list Survey

The recently formed "Solid North" party-list has emerged as a leader among top choices among party-lists for the upcoming 2025 elections.

In a latest survey conducted by "Tangere" from October 1-4, 2024, data reveals that the Solid North Party-list is ahead among voters' preferences from a pool of 44 party-lists with a strong chance of winning a seat in the House of Representatives.

According to the survey, the Solid North Party-list secured one seat in the House, marking a significant milestone compared to veteran party-list groups such as ACT-CIS, 4Ps, and Ako Bicol. Also vying for seats are Agri, FPJ Panday Bayanihan, and Malasakit@Bayanihan.
The Tangere survey included a sample size of 2,400 respondents using a “mobile-based respondent application” and a “stratified random sampling method”.

According to Solid North chairman and national president of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines, La Paz, Abra Mayor JB Bernos Ching Bernos, this survey result is a great privilege and serves as an early "de facto mandate". If given the chance to gain a legislative seat, he stated, they will commit wholeheartedly to public service.

The Solid North Party-list represents an estimated 15 provinces in northern Luzon, specifically in Regions 1, 2, the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), and three additional Luzon provinces, embodying the identity of "Timpuyog ti Amianan" or "Unity in the North."

The primary goal of Solid North is to work toward that development projects in the northern part of the country are felt and realized.
Tangere Chief Executive Officer Martin Peñaflor noted that the survey results reflect the strong interest of voters in party-list groups dedicated to improving the lives of marginalized sectors, with emphasis on the needs of farmers and the agricultural community.
